Properties and Formation Characteristics of One Step Plasma Spray Fe04-based Coating

One step plasma spray powders were synthesized with Fe04,Ni/Al and superfine aluminum powder.The polished mirror sample was used to investigate the formation characteristics of the coating,the micro-and phase structures were studied by XRD and SEM.The result showed that the high-temperature phase Fe13Mo2B5 occurred in the coating and the bonding of coating with substrate was mechanical and micro-alloying.The bonding strength of coating was 93.2% and its wear resistance was 84 % more than that of pure Fe04 coating.
