Study on Electrodeposion of Al-Mn Amorphous Coating Layer

Adding MnCl 2 in AlCl 3 KCl NaCl molten salts the Al Mn amorphous coating layer is obtained on the steel board.The suitable bath composition for the formation of Al Mn amorphous alloys are as follow: AlCl 3:KCl:NaCl=2:0.5:0.5(mol).The effects of negative current density, temperature ect.on electrodeposition velocity of Al-Mn coating layers are studied. The results show that when the negative current desity is 42mA/cm 2, the velocity is 1.2g/m 2.min,then the velocity is inverse ratio to the current desity, then temperature is 490K and the time is 12 min, the velocity is at 1.4g/m 2.min,then the velocity tends to mild and decreases lightly.
