Research on Corrosion Resistance of Magnesium Alloy with Micro-arc Oxidation Film Stuffed up with Organic Coating

The methods of stuffing the small discharged pores which lay in the oxide films formed by micro-arc oxidation on AZ91D magnesium alloy up with organic coating are analyzed.Then the microstructure of organic coating and oxide films are studied by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Furthermore the corrosion resistance of films and the conjoined property are tested.The result indicates that the organic coating can fill in the pores by 5~30μm,conjoin strongly to the oxide films.The oxide films stuffed up with organic coating are proved to increase the corrosion resistance of AZ91D sharply after immersion in 1%HCl solution.
