Preparation and Anti-aging Performance of the Ruitile TiO_2/Fluorocarbon Nano-composite Coatings

In order to improve the dispersion of nano-TiO2 and increase the anti-aging properties of the polyurethane coating,in this study,the ruitile TiO2 nanoparticles were first modified with silane coupling agent and then grafted with methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate copolymer by the microcapsule method.The chemical structure and the dispersion properties of the modified nano-TiO2 were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectra(FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) respectively.Modified nano-TiO2 was used to prepare TiO2/fluorocarbon nanocomposite coatings.Artificial accelerated aging test was used to measure the resistant aging performance of coating by testing the fundamental properties of the nanocomposite coatings in the different aging stages.The results indicate that the resistant aging performance of the composite coating is enhanced by addition of rutile TiO2,moreover,the sample with 3% TiO2 addition has the best properties over all samples.
