Effect of Polyamine on Postharvest Fruit and Vegetable

The relationship between polyamine and senescence in postharvest fruits and vegetables is reviewed. Metabolic pathway of polyamine is introduced, and the interaction between polyamine and ethylene biosynthesis during senescence is evaluated. The relationships between polyamine and lipoxygenase or between polyamine and lipid peroxidation are discussed.
