Effect of Fertilizer Treatments on the Photosynthesis of Cucumber Plug Seedlings

When cucumber seedlings were raised in plug tray with mixed media (peat moss and perlite), increasing nitrogen and potassium to 200ug/L and phosphorus to 100ug/L could heighten net photosynthetic rate in a whole day, enhance light saturation and apparent quantum yield, decrease both light and CO_2 compensation points. However, with nitrogen and potassium heightening to 400ug/L and phosphorus to 1000ug/L, the change of the mentioned photosynthetic index showed the opposite trend. Light saturation points began to decrease as long as phosphorus in media moved up to 500ug/L.Therefore, considering the effect of fertilizer treatments on photosynthesis, the optimum combination of N?P_2O_5?K_2O in growing media was N:200 mg/L,P_2O_5:100 mg/L,K_2O:200 mg/L?
