Effects of Temperature and Storage Time on the Vitality of the Substitute Host of Dastarcus helophoroides

The substitute host of Dastarcus helophoroides were stored at 10,5,2 ℃ for 3,5,7,9,11,13,15 days,and the number of larvae and cocoons were observed and recorded.The results showed that when the substitute host were stored at 10 ℃ for 7 days,5 ℃ for 11 days and 2 ℃ for 3 days,the number of larvae and cocoons of D.helophoroides were 2.9 and 2.9,2.7 and 2.8,3.0 and 2.8,respectively,more than the others,which indicated that the vitality of the substitute host was significantly correlated with the storage time.In addition,temperatures had no remarkable effects on the vitality of the substitute host.
