Reflection and Transmission of Stress Wave when Meeting Crack

An analytical method about reflection and transmission of ela- stic wave on planar surfaces, is used in this paper. The effects of eracks in rock mass on propagati- on of stress wave are discussed at two cases. One case is that a pla nar elastic wave obliquely propag- ates through planar closed cracks with fraction. The other case is that a longitudinal wave propaga- tes through closed parallel cracks. The results show that some effec- ts of incident angle in a certain range on wave propagation exist. The results also show that the am- plitude and raising time of step wave is varied by closed cracks.
