Study on Water Flow Impact Residue Technology of Explosive Demolition of Diversion Tunnel Intake Cofferdam

Water flow impact residue is one of the key technologies of demolishing diversion tunnel intake cofferdam in hydropower station.Aim at several problems related to water flow impact residue,the changes of flow velocity after the demolition of diversion tunnel intake cofferdam,the fragmentation characteristics of blasting residue and the relationship between the start velocity and fragmentation of blasting residue had been analyzed.Moreover,combined with the example of explosive demolition of the 1# diversion tunnel intake cofferdam in Ahai Hydropower Station in Jinsha River of Yunnan province,the water flow impact residue technology of diversion tunnel intake cofferdam by explosive demolition has been studied.The results indicated that based on the analysis of flow velocity after the demolition of the cofferdam and the analysis of the start velocity of the blasting residue,controlling the blasting residue fragmentation through the design parameters of explosive demolition of cofferdam,so as to the start velocity of blasting residue less than the flow velocity inside diversion tunnel,consequently,the water flow impact residue by water power can be achieved.The research result can promote the hydropower projects much more economical and faster.
