Numerical Analysis on Propagation Effect of Shock Wave in Diffuser Chambers under Internal Blast in the Entrance of Tunnel

A diffuser chamber is an important facility for wave absorbing of the entrance in a tunnel,whose structure form and geometry dimension affect wave absorbing effects greatly.In order to maximize wave absorbing efficiency and cost performance,the wave absorbing rules of diffuser chambers with different characteristic scale under blast load in tunnel are discussed,and methods on numerical analysis are given out,perfect results are obtained.Comparing with experiments and analysis on numerical results,its feasibility is proved.The expression for transient position value is achieved,and reference length-diameter ratio value of a diffuser chamber with resonable effect-cost ratio is 3.Technologic reference is provided for the application of diffuser chambers in protective engineering.
