Blasting Demolition of Three 180 m High Reinforced Concrete Chimneys

When the surrounding environment of three 180 m high reinforced concrete chimneys can′t satisfy the condition of collapse,blasting cuts located 25 m high position away from the ground were adopted in the directional collapse controlled blasting design.The form of the blasting cut was compound trapezoid.By setting the blasting cut initial closed angle at 30 °,the cut high at 3.5 m and the central horizontal angle of the lower edge of the cut at 220 °,accurate direction,reduced collapse distance,better controlled blasting hazards of the three chimneys were all achieved.
