PERFORMANCE COMPARISON AMONG DIFFERENT PHOTOCATALYTIC REACTORS IN DEGRADING ORGANISM

Adopted three reactors during the research of photocatalytic degradation of benzo pollutants: intermittent flow flat board reactor, continuous flow flat board reactor and three phase fluidized bed reactor. The continuous flow flat board reactor using solar light as source, titanium dioxide (TiO 2) supported on sand as the catalyst which was 0 11 g per square centimeter of the reactor, attained 72% removal rate when treated the lower concentration phenol in a daytime light intensity. Three phase fluidized bed reactor, using a 20 W ultraviolet (UV) lamp in it and TiO 2/GAC catalyst, formed a sufficiently fluidized bed and had high reaction efficiency. At the same time, it could run day and night and the running load was 9 45 mg phenol per hour per liter volume.
