The optimum temperature and pH of xylanase reaction is 50 ℃ and 4～6. Xylanase is stable at pH 1～12. It is unstable when heated and only 165% of activity remained after 1 h at 60 ℃. Xylanase is inhibited by most metal ions, of which Cu2+ have a highest inhibition rate. When applied in feed fermentation and prebleaching of pulp, xylanase can decrease fiber in feed, improve paper properties and decrease pollution.
