ON ACIDATION MODIFICATION MECHANISM OF BENTONITE FROM ITS CHANGE IN COMPONENTS

Heishan bentonite from Liaoning province is taken as an example. The acidation modification mechanism of bentonite is studied from a regular change in the components of Heishan bentonite which takes place after different concentration sulphuric acid solution ( φ =0,5%,10%,15%,20%,25%,30%) reacted to Heishan bentonite. Ca 2+ , which is in interbed of montmorillonite from bentonite, is soluted completely; A large quantity of Fe 3+ , Al 3+ , Mg 2+ , Mn 2+ and P ion ,which is in octahedronx crystal of montmorillonite, is soluted; All these make more larger holes in bentonite, which intercept and capture more adsorbate and raise adsorbing efficiency.
