DETERMINATION OF CIPROFLOCAXIN HYDROCHLORIDE IN TABLETS BY FLAME ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY

A new method of the determination of Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride is developed by using the precipitate that the Ciprofloxacin reacts with Zn(SCN)2 4. The amount of zinc in the precipitate can be determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS), then the content of Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride can be determined indirectly. The drug can be detected in the range of 1.6×10-4-3.9×10-3 mol·L-1,detection limit is 2.9×10-5 mol·L-1, and recovery is 93.6%-109.0%.
