An analysis on the hydrological effects of land-use changes in the upper stream of the Han River basin under three climate scenarios was performed. On the basis of three phases of land-use data:1980s, 1990s, 2000s and corresponding climate data, the hydrological model for the upper stream of the Han River basin was developed with SWAT model. Simulated runoff under nine scenarios combinations with three phases of land-use and three kinds of climate change scenarios are compared each other. The results show that, land-use changes had effect on the runoff characteristics in upstream of the Han River basin in certain extent. The proportion of runoff change resulted from land-use change is not high due to the low percentage of changes in three phases of land-use. The responding degrees of runoff to land-use changes are diverse in different climate conditions. The most sensitive phase is the 1990s, which was the most drought period in three phases. The same land-use change has different effect on runoff under different climate conditions.
