The tectonic in Langan area,Suzhou of Anhui Province,is located in the west side of Tanlu fault zone, where the diamonds mainly occur in the alkali-basic rocks. In the paper, the multi-source remote sensing image characteristics of the diabasic veins(body)were analyzed, and the diabase veins(body)were interpretated by using the multi-source remote sensing images. The aluminum hydroxy anomalies, iron staining anomalies and carbonate anomalies were extracted by ASTER remote sensing data. One diabase body and 18 diabase veins were interpretated by using the ETM with remote sensing images in the field. The original 10 diabase veins were modified and the unknown 6diabase veins were interpretated by the high resolution remote sensing images in the key area. The interpretation accuracy of diabase vein(body)was about 80%.The results showed that aluminum hydroxy anomalies distribution was coincide with the diabases body and the diabase veins, and the iron stain anomalies with the relevant iron in silicate rocks distribution was relation to the diabase veins, the iron stain anomalies with the relevant the iron oxide distribute the handing wall of the diabase veins;carbonate iron anomalies distributed on the diabase rocks and the footwall of the diabase veins in the south of Chulan town.Multi-source remote sensing information extraction results provided the basis for the diamond prospecting work deployment.
