Precoated Resin Sand Direct Casting Mold of Pipe Hoop Based on Selective Laser Sintering

The geometrical model of pipe hoop is made in the software environment of CAD,Pro/engineer and Magic by inversion.In this software environment,the mold cavity surface can be reversed and converted based on its casting model designed in advance under the mould-design module,then adding running channel and casting head,the casting molds are completed.Applying the optimized processing parameters of selective laser sintering,the precoated sand is sintered to form sand mold of pipe hoop.By hest-curing process,the shape precision,dimensional precision and surface precision of sand mold could meet the requirements of general structure in investment casting.Finally,this technology and pipe hoop can be used for actual production.
