Analysis of factors affecting life insurance agent′s turnover intention——Using Shandong Province′s life insurance agents as an example

Turnover intension is the most effective index to estimate employees′ turnover activities.The paper applied the method of random sampling among six life insurance companies in Shandong province and distributed questionnaires to them covering questions such as inter-personal relationship,salary and benefits,career prospects,job satisfaction,and turnover limits.Based on the responses collected,the author constructed a model for factors affecting life insurance agents′ turnover intention,and used the factor analysis and regression analysis methods to conduct an in-depth analysis on agents′ turnover intention.The results showed that future career prospects had the highest impacts on agents′ turnover intention,followed by turnover limits,salary and benefits,job satisfaction,and inter-personal relationship.Insurance companies should pay attention to these issues to tackle the high turnover problem.
