Study about sensory nerve conduction function of Sasang people with Korean medicine

Objective: We observed sensory nerve conduction functions and compared their parameters between groups or them in one group to probe into the relationship between constitutions of body and peripheral nerve conduction function.Methods:As objects of study,100 health people are divided into 4 groups by means of filling in quizzed-table and specialists' deliberating with Sasang Medicine(Korean constitutional medicine).We measured sensory nerve action potential(SNAP) of median,ulnar and sural nerve to compare them between groups or in one group.Results:Proximal latency(P Lat) of median and ulnar nerve of Taiyin person is longer than that of Shaoyang person;compared with group of P LatX+1S nerve,matters of lower wave amplitude,longer latency and slower conduction velocity arise in group of P Lat≥X+1S nerve.Wave amplitude of sural nerve of Taiyin person is lower than that of Shaoyang person,and in both of them right D SCV is faster than left D SCV;and more,compared with group of D SCVX-S nerve in Sasang person,matters of longer D Lat and slower D SCV arise in group of D SCV≤X-S nerve.Conclusion:In Taiyin person,states of blood-turbidity and Qi-unsmoothness get latency longer in median and ulnar nerve,and wave amplitude lower and right-left side different in sural nerve;in Shaoyang person,constitution of Yang-over and Yin-loss get latency of nerve conduction shorter.
