Zhu Ruigeng Wu Mianba  
By a fast loading equipment for rock mechanics test,a systematic investigation on the breaking behavior of granite specimens in compression.tensile and shear tests respectively,has.been conducted at different loading rates within the range of 10-1~105kg/cm2/sec.It has been found that the strength of granite specimens increases with the increasing loading rates.Based on it and some results from conventional triaxial and stress tests,a criterion of dynamic failure of granite has been presented.
