INFLUENCE OF THE STRUCTURAL WEAKNESS PLANES IN ROCK MASS ON THE PROPAGATION OF STRESS WAVES
Li Xibing(Central South University of Technology, Chgangsha, Hunan, 410083)
In this paper, the relations among wave potentials, stresses, and energy of the incident compression wave, the refracted, reflected longitudial and transverse waves, the formula of energy absorption of the structural weakness plane, and some computational results have been obtained according to the boundary conditions at the structural weakness plane with friction slipping. The criterion for judging if rocks on both sides of the plane slip relatively along the plane is proposed. On this basis, some problems about engineering blasting is discussed.
