Experimental Research on Impacting and Detonating Explosive by Mini Size Laser-Driven-Flyer

The PETN explosive is detonated by mini size laser driven flyer. It is the firso time ts use the technique domestically.The experimental principle,process,set up,measurement method and results are introduced in detail in this paper.In the experiments,205mJ,9.5ns laser pulse is used.A 5.5μm thickness,1.0mm diameter aluminum flyer is driven and the PETN explosive of density ρ =1.2g/cm 3 is detonated.The impact velocity is about 3~4 2km/s,pressure pulse is about 2.08ns.A simple experimental results analysis has been done by using criterion of p 2τ =const.The analysis shows that the experimental results is reasonable and is in good agreement with the analytical prediction.
