Analysis of early stage specimen stress equilibrium in SHPB experiment

The effects of external factors on the stress equilibrium in early stage specimen were analyzed. When loading the specimen with incident wave generated by a traditional SHPB device, experimental results indicate that pressure bar with matching impedance to that of the specimen performs better, and the stress in specimen of larger diameter reaches equilibrium faster than that of smaller diameter.
