Study on Side Structural Behavior of LPG Carrier in Collisions

Wang Zili,Gu Yongning  
The demage procese of LPG side structure in collision and the anticollion behaview of varions structural member are investigated.It is shown that the side structure of the collission resistant capalility for LPG is much lower that for the conventional ship and the web frame plays an important effect in the process of collision for the LPG vessel.Meantime,an optimal approach to upgrade the collision resistant capability of LPG side structure in proposed.
