Lean Shipbuilding——Study of Japanese Shipbuilding System

ZHANG Ming-hua, HUANG Sheng (Ship Engineering College, Haerbin Engineering University, Haerbin 150001, China)  
In the light of the study of Japanese shipbuilding system, a modern shipbuilding system namely Lean Shipbuilding System is presented by the authors. In the paper, the Lean Shipbuilding System is described in detail based on the theory of Lean Production and Lean Management. The Lean Shipbuilding System is advanced, and therefore our shipbuilders should learn from it.
