Measuring the shock characteristic of small wire-rope vibration isolators by hammering

Based on the nonlinear slow-moving characteristic and dynamics model of wire-rope vibration isolators and combined with the applications,a test model is developed to measure the shock characteristic of wire-rope vibration isolators by hammering. The application of this model to analyze the shock characteristic of wire-rope vibration isolators in state of empty and preload is also presented. It offers a definite gist to develop more anti-shocking designs of naval ships.
