Numerical simulated research on the supercavity anti-drag characteristic of underwater high speed body

In this paper,supercavitating flow of underwater high-speed body was numerically simulated by commercial CFD software Fluent6.2.The anti-drag characteristic of body with disk cavitator and taper cavitator was calculate. The influence of cavitator diameter,cone angle,slenderness ratio of body on the anti-drag of supercavity was analyzed. Anti-drag ratio of nature supercavitation of underwater high speed body was calculated. The results show that the underwater high speed body with disk cavitator is more valid for supercavitaty anti-drag than other structure;anti-drag ratio is above 95% in supercavitation profiles. These conclusions can provide principle reference for further research on structure design and hydrodynamic characteristics of the underwater high speed body.
