Characteristics of Heavy Metals Contaminated Sediments in Raohe River of Poyang Lake

Raohe is one of the five river systems and the most seriously heavy metals contaminated areas of Poyang Lake valley. For the environmental protection purpose, upper layer sediment and the riverside soil what were from 2 different locations in Raohe River of Poyang Lake were sampled. The concentration of the heavy metals included Cu、Zn、Pb and Cd in the samples were determined. According to the concentration of heavy metals in the samples, analyzed the characteristics of Cu、Zn、Pb、Cd in sediment and soil. The results indicated that the characteristics of heavy metals Cu、Zn、Pb and Cd in Raohe River of Poyang Lake were accordance with the pH value, the concentrations of Cu、Zn、Pb、Cd were negative correlative to the pH value, and all the heavy metals of Cu、Zn、Pb、Cd emerged certain correlation ,it was that Cu、Zn、Pb emerged notability positive correlation, it indicated that some kinds of heavy metals emerged complex contaminations in Raohe River of Poyang Lake.
