The Application of Multiwavelet Transformation in Power Quality Disturbance Detetction and Classification

The principle of power quality disturbance is researched and the theoretics of multiwavelet transformation used in detecting and classifying the power quality is discussed.The detecting and classifying effect of power quality disturbance with traditional wavelet and multiwavelet is analyzed and compared after a great deal of simulation work.The results indicate that the detecting and classifying effect of power quality disturbance with multiwavelet is better than with traditional wavelet.
