The Study on the Adsorption Performance of Fe~(3+) on Crosslinked Cassava Starch Microspheres

Crosslinked cassava starch microspheres(CCSM) were prepared by crosslinking of cassava starch and N,N′-methylene-bis-acrylamide(MBA) in inverse suspension.The static adsorption behavior of CCSM toward Fe3+ was investigatied at different temperatures and the adsorption mechanism was discussed.The structures of CCSM before and after adsorption were characterizated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)、X-ray dif-fractometer(XRD) and theromoanalysis instrument.The adsorption results showed that the CCSM have better ad-sorption property towords Fe3+ when pH of solution is 4,and the adsorption behavior of CCSM towards Fe3+ is adapted to isothermal equation of Freundlich in the experimental conditions.The Fe3+ was adsorbed by means of physical adsorption and weakly complexation.
