Study on mechanism of broaching under low velocity

Consider the situation when the frequency of parametric excitation and forced excitation is double of natural frequency of yaw motion,the 1/2 sub-harmonic resonance yaw motions of ships are studied using nonlinear vibration theory.Explored the mechanism of broaching due to cumulative yaw motion under low velocity and relative high encounter frequency.
