Research progress of supercavitation hydrodynamics

The basic concept of supercavitation weapon and its application are introduced.The main hydrodynamic problems related with supercavitation weapon design and the research progress are also presented.The problems include the generation,development and stability of supercavitation,hydrodynamic forces acting on the supercavitating vehicle,and the hydro-ballistics of vehicle.The problems which remain to be solved in this field are outlined.
