Re-entrant Jet and its Effect on the Shape of Ventilated Supercavity

The phenomena of re-entrant jet and its effect on the shape of ventilated supercavity were investigated through water tunnel experiment.The water tunnel is a closed continuously ventilated one.The re-entrant jet and dynamic procedure of ventilated supercavity were recorded by a high speed camera at a rate of 1 000 frames per second.The variation trend of supercavity with re-entrant jet is analyzed and the formation mechanism of re-entrant jet is discussed.Furthermore,the effect of ventilated coefficient on the behavior of re-entrant jet is also studied.
