TAOERHE ALLUVIAL FAN AND SUBSURAFACE WATER BAICHENG, JILIN

Taoerhe alluvial fan is arcel shown either in its la ndscape or in the Photograph from Landsat. The Existence of this alluvial fan is undoubtable although there are different views on its origination.Through the analyses of the meteorological and hydro logical factots and the geo-morphic structural conditions in the Daxinganling. In this paper we have reachedj the conclusion that there are favorable conditions in forming the alluvial fan piedmont area. Size analysis of the alluvial fan deposits reveals that the characterics of size dis tribution are keen to the modern accumulation of Taoerhe at the mouth of the valley. They belong to competent watercourse deposits and are characteristic of seasonal river in semiarid region.
