REGIONAL GEOCHEMICAL STUDY OF THE PLATE TECTONICS IN WESTERN ZHUNGE'ER, XINJIANG

Making full use of the data obtained from the regional geochemical reconnaissance of 1:200000 scale in studying and resolving basic geological problems is one of the main tasks lying ahead of exploration geochemists at the time being.Different tectonic units and different tectonic evolution stages in each tectonic unit have different geochemical characteristics. Therefore, the regional tectonic reamework in an area can be revealed effectively by the changement tendency of the element geochemical disperson patterns.Western Zhunge'er of Xinjiang lies at the collision belt between Siberia and Zhunge'er plate. In this paper, preliminary discussions on the regional geochemical features of the plate tectonics have been carried out according to the recently obtained regional geochemical reconnaissance in this area.The results of the research on multi-element regional backgrounds and anomalies distinctly revealed the basic features of the plate tectonics and the regional geochemical characteristics of deep fault and suture line. Our researches provided some significant information of the further study of the plate tectonics.
