At present, municipal solid waste is disposed mainly by landfills. Leachate recycle has been found to potentially greatly accelerate the “stabilization” of the landfill. However, there is much leachate that needs to be further disposed. Flyash has a good function of absorption and clarification of pollutants. A disposal method for leachate has been introduced in this paper, which mixes flyash with the wastes for leachate recycle. The effects of the flyash in leachate recycle have been analyzed and discussed. The filtering effect of flyash has also been studied in this paper. The results indicate that the flyash has a good effect on the landfill leachate recycle measures. Detailed study is needed in order to use this method in practice.
