STUDIES ON THERMOELECTRIC QUALITIES OF ARSENOPYRITES IN LAOZUOSHAN GOLD-DEPOSIT, HEILONGJIANG PROVINCE

Arsenopyrite is the main mineral carrying Au in Laozuoshan gold-deposit. Thermoelectricity is evidently various for different staged arsenopyrites. The Thermoelectric coefficients of arsenopyrites formed in early ore-forming stage are positive , average value is 250.3μV/℃, P type conductivity. The thermoelectric coefficients of later staged arsenopyrites are negative, average value is -216.9μV/℃, N type conductivity. Researches on relationship between thermoelectricity and chemical compositions of arsenopyrites which formed in different deposits, or in one deposit while formed in different ore-forming stage show that the type of thermoelectricity of arsenopyrite is dominated by the relative contents of As and S in it. As-rich arsenopyrites correspond to P type conductivity, whereas to N type.
