In this paper the detecting ability has been studied for 1D electrical body with MT method. The results show that in proper condition detecting depth is several thousand kilometers with MT method. But clear detecting depth is relating to resistivity and size of abnormal body, and resistivity of wall rock .In generally , the more of the size of abnormal body, the more of detecting depth. The more of electronic difference between abnormal body and wall rock, the more of detecting depth.
