Early Precambrian metamorphic complex, composed of khondalite series, BiHb gneiss series, granulite series and metamorphosed plutonic intrusions inside the supracrustal rocks, are well developed in Daqingshan area. Very complex structures and characteristics of khondalite series were caused by poly phases of metamorphism and deformation. It is revealed through recent 1∶50 000 scale geological mapping and detailed study on the complexes, that the khondalite is a suite of high grade metamorphic strata overlying on the granulite series structurally and unconformitially. The strata sequence is composed of Ga Bi gneiss unit, Di gneiss unit and marble unit. All the units in the khondalite were deformed by an early near horizontal and bedding parallel ductile shearing under granulite facies and later near N S trending and near E W trending deformation under high amphibolite facies. The deformation result in a strata sequence characteried by "strata breaking, contact and intercalation of different units". Restoration of early strata sequences in the khondalite series indicates that the contacts between different units are near horizontal shear surface, contributing to the stacking structural patterns of lenticular strata sheets bounded by the near horizontal shear surface.
