GEOCHEMISTRY OF RHYOLITE WEATHERING OF ALONGSHAN, GREATER XING'AN MOUNTAINS

The particularity of weathering processes of rock in Greater Xing'an Mountains was found by analyzing two weathering profile developed on ryolite. The weather progresses can be divided into two stages that are chemistry weathering of matrix and physical weathering of phenocryst. The weathering trend of second stage is contrary to the normal profiles. The low temperature and long winter prolong the weathering progress of second stage which trend of weathering is inversion. Fe and Al were leached from soil of profiles from beginning to end in weathering progress. The features result from multiple factor which include the construction and composition of parent rock , condition of climate, ecosytem, et al.
