The carbonate storm deposit of early Ordovician Yeli Formation in Pingquan area, Hebei Province

LIU Peng-ju~1,LIN Xiao-gu~2 (1.College of Earth Sciences, Jilin University, Changchun130026,China;2.Fujian Engineering School,Fuzhou350019,China)
The carbonate storm deposit (tempestite) of early Ordovician Yeli Formation is well-developed in Pingquan area, Hebei Province. Four types of tempestite, which is autochthonous coarse grain limestone, allochthonous coarse grain limestone, turbidite and cutting bioherm limestone, are found. On the studying of storm deposit, it is determined that the Yeli Formation is made up of a whole ingression to regression succession, and the topography is higher in north and lower in south, the sea water is shallow in north and deep in south. Besides, the storm deposit is a important indication for identifying the transgressive systems tract and highstand systems tract in outcrop sequence stratigraphy dividing.
