The study of reservoir flow units of Sheng 132 well area in Shengping oil field

Shengping oil field has multiple oil-layers with typical continental reservoir features. Its development objective layer is the first member of Putaohua reservoirs. The average thickness of the layer is about 50 meters, including 11 oil-bearing sublayers. The sandstone of the reservoir is thin, connectivity is bad, development effect is poor, residual oil may exist. To further confirm the distribution of residual oil and to enhance oil recover ratio, research of reservoir flow units has been carried out. Based on comprehensive analysis of lithology and well-logging data, it is concluded that there are four sedimentary microfacies, including underwater distributary channel, main sand sheet, minor sand sheet and interchannel of delta-front.Division standard of reservoir flow units of the research area is set up and five types reservoir flow units are classified according to cluster analysis. Type A is the best, B is better and E is useless. Contrasting the spatial distribution of reservoir flow units and sedimentary microfacies shows that the former is finer than the latter and is very advantaged to find residual oil.
