Experimental Study on Substrate Degradation Kinetics Parameters in ABR

The substrate degradation kinetics of each cell of ABR was studied by static simulative experiment. The results showed that under 25℃ maximum specific degradation rate(V_ max ) and saturation constant K_s of organic substrate in three cells are 3.06 d -1 , 1.52 d -1 , 0.97 d -1 and 20157.89 mg/L,2947.38 mg/L, 7007.40 mg/L, respectively. By comparison ofV_ max , we knew that microbial activity is the most strong and microbes are in their logarithm growth period in first cell; but in the second and third cells, the microbes are in their declining growth or endogenous respiration period.
