Log Interpretation Theory and Method to Evaluate Three Pore Components in Hydrocarbon Reservoir Formation

The close relationship between reservoir formation's pore structure and its mineral components is interpreted here.Using many parameters such as porosity,shale volume and some others acquired from conventional well logs and NMR log,a three-pore-components evaluation theory and its interpretation methods were established based on conventional well log.These methods were tested by use of practical log data collected from several wells.It was proved that this theory and its interpretation methods can give comparatively evaluation results of three pore components-clay bound water pore,micro-pore and free water pore.in reservoir formation.
