METALLOGENESIS AS WELL AS GEOLOGICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF YINDONGPO GOLD DEPOSIT AS AN EXAMPLE OF CARBONACEOUS STRATA-BOUND TYPE

The carhonaceous strata-bound type gold deposit is an important newtype of gold mineralization,The Yindongpo gold deposit is hosted in the Waitoushanformation,Tongbo Mounatains,which is a carbonaceous volcanic-sedimentary assemblage experenced low to mediate grade metamorphism,Strictly controlled by thecarbonaceous beds,the ore bodies should be attributed to carbonaceous strata-boundtype gold deposit.AlI the gold accumulation during host-rock sedimentation,superposition during Caledonian metamorphism and the Mesozoic hydrothermaImineralization made their great contribution to the formation of the gold deposit.Theeconomic ore bodies,emplaced in Mesozoic hydrothermal mineralization,could be furtherdivided into three stages.The main mineralizing temperature of these three stages rangedfrom early 450~300℃,through 250~200C to late 210 ~ 180℃.The nature ofhydrothermal solutions evolved from early metamorphic(Ⅰ),through mixed bymetamorphic-magmatic-meteoric(Ⅱ),to late meteoric(Ⅲ).Stage-Ⅰat mediatetemperature played the most important role in the gold mineralization. Isotopes of S,Cand Pb indicate a complex ore-forming material source which is mainly composed byWaitoushan formation.The Mesozoic hydrothermal mineralization leading to the eventualemplacing of economic ore bodies resulted from the contemporal coIIisional orogenesisbetween the South and the North China continental plates. Carbonaceous assemblages incollision beIts should be the target districts to prospect gold deposits of the Yindongpopattern.
