THE METAMORPHISM AND DEFORMATION OF EARLYPROTEROZOIC METAMORPHIC COMPLEX AND ITS TECTONIC ENVIRONMENT IN TONGHUA REGION, JILIN

The metamorphic complex in study area can be divided into ji'an rock group and Laoling rock group. The former underwent four stages of prograde metamorphism and three episodes of deformation during early Proterozoic. Highamphibolite facies metamorphism was recognized in this group.The later mainly underwentwo stages of metamorphism and two episodes of deformation in which green schist facies metamorphism was recognized.The metamorphic p-T-t-D paths are characterized by anti clockwise in both rock groups. It indicates a tectonic enviroriment of depression zone and rift zone which locates in the middle of a continent margin andislands.
