Application of Polarization Technique in Radar Reconnaissance

To increase the analysis and identification ability of radar reconnaissance in complicated electromagnetic environment,the advantages of polarization technique in radar reconnaissance are analyzed.The power loss and range loss caused by polarization mismatch are studied.The possibility and feasibility of using polarization technique to improve the radar reconnaissance ability are discussed.It shows that polarization technique is an effective approach to get better reconnaissance ability in complicated environment.The design block diagram of a polarization receiver is put forward which can be used in ESM(Electronic Warfare Support Measures) and ECM(Electronic Counter Measures) systems.
