STRONTIUM ISOTOPIC RATIOS IN BASIC-ULTRABASIC LAYERED ROCKS OF PANXI AREA, SICHUAN PROVINCE

Strontium initial ratio for V-Ti-magnetite-bearing basic-ultrabasic layered intrusives is established as0.7047+/-0.0003. The same ratio for small intrusives bare of V-Ti-Fe mineralization is 0.7057+ /-0.0002,and for the widely distributed flood extrusives in Southwest China known as Mt. Emei basalts is 0.7055+/-0.0004. It is inferred that the ore-bearing basic magma had separated from the continental mantlemuch earlier than the flood extrusives and the non-ore small intrusives.
