ELECTROMAGNETIC PARAMETER IMAGING

This paper discusses EM parameter imaging methods of inhomogeneous earth medium. It gives the idea and key formulae for linear inversion imaging, non linear iterative inversion imaging and GILD (Global Integral and Local Differential parallel decomposition) inversion imaging using magnetic field data. This paper presents a new concept “ratio scattering” and a new inversion strategy named “ratio scattering imaging” which does inversion using frequency domain ratio scattering data. The inversion algorithm may be a suitable means to deal with the near far field image problem and will be a very simple form under Born approximation. The inversion formula is now for electric field data, however, it can be easily to extend to magnetic field data and seismic data case.
